Blizzard is fixing the game crash after launching Diablo 4 in the next patch. They have provided players with an immediate workaround for now.

Click the icon next to your “Play” Button on the Battle.net Launcher
Click on ‘Game Settings’
Click on the ‘Additional command line arguments’ checkbox
Add ‘-disableds’ to the box that appears.
